November, Brighton – Elite Exhibitions launches Hotel & Resort Design South (HRDS). The niche event specialists behind design events Cruise Ship Interiors Expo America, Cruise Ship Interiors Expo Europe and Sustainable Design Summit are launching a new hotel resort and design show into the Southern states and LATAM market.

Taking place 6 – 7 June 2023 at the Miami Beach Convention Center, HRDS will include a full day of content via a dedicated hotel interior conference program, a Product Showcase featuring the most innovative products and services on the market plus a host of exclusive networking opportunities including Speed Networking which provides a one-to-one meeting experience. It will be co-located with Cruise Ship Interiors Expo America.

When asked why now was the right time to curate a hotel & resort interior design trade show for the South and LATAM, Toby pointed out that while the sector had been historically underserved it had been experiencing significant growth. Dallas, Texas, US currently leads the world in planned hotel & resort projects, currently racking up 173 planned hotel projects. Meanwhile, after a swathe of project completions, Latin America is seeing a fresh bout of development, with hotel projects in the early planning stages up 22% year on year.

He said, ‘The idea sparked when we noticed an increase in attendance from hotel and resort brands as well as designers responsible for private islands at the last edition of Cruise Ship Interiors Expo America. When looking at our exhibitor demographic, we found that over 75% (200+ companies) of our exhibitors also target hotel & resort brands. Given this strong crossover, creating a co-located event was an easy decision to make.’

Attending are representatives from Hilton Worldwide, one of the hotel franchises with the largest construction pipelines in the South and Latin America, as well as prolific brands IHG and Accor.
